The Presbyterian Church of Danville, KY needs Interim Director of Christian Formation

Energetic, highly motivated Christian educator to lead, develop, and implement Christian formation programs for children, youth, and adults.
This is an interim position, with consideration for permanent position.
Christian education experience in the Reformed tradition, and Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Part-time Youth & C. E. Director annual salary (Jan-Dec)                 $14,000

 

Weekly time commitment (average)                                                20 hours

 

Position under supervision of Minister

 

Annual paid vacation (pro-rated)                                                      2 weeks

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

1.  Work with Minister, Volunteer Youth Advisors, CE Comm., and parents to enhance and promote

     existing programs and develop new youth and C. E. programs compatible with the Hopewell

     Presbyterian Church.

 

2.  Be responsive to requests from the Minister, Church Session and C. E. Comm., in a timely manner.   

 

3.  Plan and lead weekly faith-based youth activities ensuring the safety and well-being of all   

     participants.  Develop a means of growing our number of youth in participation of church-sponsored

     youth activities.

 

4.  Youth & C. E. Director is accountable for all fund-raising receipts and expense disbursements

     for church-sponsored youth activities.

 

5.  Support and enhance existing areas of Christian education and develop new opportunities of

     Christian education.

 

6.  Youth & C. E. Director is responsible to see that all planned activities are accomplished in their

     absence.

YOUTH INTERN

 Harvey Browne Memorial Presbyterian Church in Louisville, Ky. is looking for someone to coordinate its vibrant middle and high school youth program during a period of transition in the church’s program staff. This is a part-time position (20-25 hours per week) for a period of one year beginning in January 2009. Besides helping to plan and overseeing the youth program, including two summer mission trips, the annual Montreat Youth Conference and Harvey Browne’s annual youth “Do-In” over the Labor Day weekend, this person will resource a dedicated and experienced team of volunteer youth leaders. Harvey Browne is a vibrant church of approximately 900 members. The salary for this position is $25,000 plus benefits through the PC(USA) Board of Pensions. Church Choir Director Position

Volunteer Opportunity – Mentors needed for Bellewood Programs

Faith Presbyterian Church, located at 9800 Stonestreet Rd. in Louisville, is seeking an organist/music director.  The position would require playing in worship on Sunday mornings, having occasional meetings with the worship committee and directing the choir/special music program of worship. 3-4 hours/week, compensation $125/week.
